Still, it’s not too late, and you should know who they are Meet Mildred and Richard. They grew up outside of Richmond, Virginia in the 40’s and met as children. When Mildred was 18 she became pregnant, so they got married. Only, as you’ll notice, Mildred is black and Richard is white, and in 1958 it was illegal for an interracial
